Why Take a Guided Nature Tour

Why take a nature tour? Well that is a good question! There have been a lot of studies done that show being outside in nature does wonders for both your mind and body. There is nothing more wondrous than the morning chorus of birds as the sun rises or the hooting of owls and calling of frogs as the sun sets.

However, that does not completely answer the question of why take a tour. The advantage of taking a guided tour is that you have a knowledgeable guide who can tell you about and identify most of the plants, insects, birds, butterflies, and more around you. They can talk about the ecology and provide interesting facts and history that brings you closer in your understanding of nature.

Guides also know all the best nature locations and often allow you to be picked up and dropped off at your hotel so there is none of the stress of driving, especially in an area you are unfamiliar with. You can simply enjoy everything nature brings to you.

I can tell you from experience that when all of life seems out of control, being in nature brings a peace that can’t be found in front of a TV or in a shopping mall. So next time you are traveling look up a great local guide and get outside to enjoy the beauty of nature.
